Curriculum

Our language program is research-based and nationally recognized. Students in all grade levels receive academic instruction in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.

In addition to teaching the language, students are taught to appreciate and respect the beauty of the cultures accompanying these languages through cultural events, overseas travel opportunities, and the more than 125 international teachers we sponsor to teach our scholars.

The expectation for all ILTexas students is that they will attend a four-year University, College, or Military Academy of their choice. By the time International Leadership of Texas students apply for universities, they have been educated about every element of the process and can apply to universities with confidence. Our students have been accepted into top universities, including Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, Brown University, Cornell University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Chicago, Stanford University, and more.

At ILTexas, leadership and culture are incorporated in the classroom for all students. Students are given leadership roles teaching the concept of others before self. Our leadership curriculum, including the Leader Speakers Series, provides all ILTexas students opportunities to interact with and learn from world leaders such as Kevin Rudd, Vicente Fox, Max Baucus, Amy Celico, Besty DeVos, Dr. Arthur C. Brooks, and more.

The International Leadership of Texas offers 17 AP courses, including AP English Literature, AP English Language, AP Chinese Language, AP Spanish Language & Culture, AP Spanish Literature & Culture, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Statistics, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP Environmental Science, AP Physics, AP World History, AP Human Geography, AP US History, and AP Economics/Government.
